We believe that democracy works only when the public is educated on the relevant issues, and not voting on misguided preconceptions, or moot "buzz" topics with little practical significance. Although we accept the roles of poll-driven media and analysis in the democratic process, we don't think that these should function as a voter's main source of information.

SeeThroughthePodium.org doesn't provide news or analysis. We don't write anything. We just collect information regarding opposing stances on various issues, and publish them together for the sake of easy and accessible comparison. The idea is to make the voter's decision an individual one, based on fact; we aim to drive out the influence of propaganda.

We believe this is all it takes.
